Kraven The Hunter Releases Opening 8 Minutes

Sony just released an action-packed eight-minute sneak peek of the opening sequence of Kraven the Hunter.
Â
As an early Christmas gift from Aaron Taylor Johnson as well as perhaps an apology for the numerous delays to Kraven the Hunter’s release, Sony has now released the first eight-minutes of the film – a taster of the action yet to come.
Â
This footage was first seen during October’s New York Comic Con and screened to strong reception, convincing Sony to publicly drop the footage as they begin their release campaign. The opening scene’s release came shortly after Kraven director J.C. Chandor recently sat down with Comicbook.com, in which he encouraged moviegoers to give his Marvel-based film a chance, and touched on the mixed reception to Sony’s Spider-Man-less universe, and promised a quality picture that stands out from the mess of Sony’s recent outings:
Â
“For me as a filmmaker, my number one goal, especially, quite frankly, over the last couple of years where you guys are deep in this world … some of the fans out there, a lot of the fans, were upset with certain decisions and certain outcomes [of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe]. Then with other films, they’ve gone on to be tremendous successes. So there’s been there’s been a mixed success rate”.
Â
“People have got to give us a chance and come out and support this film, and literally try to wash away some of the other stuff that’s happened. Give our film a chance”, Chandor continued. “And I think they’ll realize that we’ve done everything we can to give them a pretty fun story. You’ll see when the movie’s over, there’s potential for a lot of things to happen. But my goal was to isolate our movie, protect it, and just tell a good damn story. And then we’ll have opportunities to do a lot of fun things”.Â
