Kraven the Hunter has released a short featurette, showing the practical effects of the film while hearing from the lead actor and director.
Fans have shared mixed emotions about the featurette. Many praised the deeper dive into Kraven’s psyche, with one viewer commenting: “Aaron Taylor-Johnson really looks like he’s throwing himself into the role. This is what we need—intensity and authenticity for Kraven!”. Others were drawn to the brutal visuals, noting how the movie embraces the anti hero’s primal and violent nature. “This is the kind of R-rated superhero content we’ve been asking for”, said another fan.
However, some remained skeptical. A few commenters criticized the absence of Spider-Man, an integral part of Kraven’s story in the comics. One fan remarked: “It’s hard to care about Kraven’s journey without Spidey in the picture—he’s incomplete without that rivalry”.
The cinematic style also sparked debate. While some applauded the visual effects and grounded tone, with one fan remarking: “Cinematography looks insane”, others felt that Sony’s track record with Morbius, Madame Web, and other Spider-Man-related movies left much to be desired.
